フリーデンスライヒ・フンデルトヴァッサー（Friedensreich Regentag Dunkelbunt Hundertwasser）：オーストリア
【1928-2000】 画家として、建築家として、何より自然を愛したエコロジストとして、理想への軌跡を歩み続けたフンデルトヴァッサー。彼は生涯を通じ自身の作品で自然への回帰を提唱し続けました。「直線に神は宿らない」と考えた彼の作品は絵画も建築も曲線を多用した独自のフォルムによって形作られています。
また北斎・広重の浮世絵に影響を受けた彼は日本文化にも多大な感心を持ち、日本での作品も数多く残しています。大阪のゴミ処理場・大阪市環境局舞洲工場の設計などを手掛けた他、日本の彫師や摺師と共同で木版画集なども刊行されています。 |
